Essential Job Functions:
Oversee all aspects of Financial Lines underwriting function including Audit, Compliance and Filings.
Responsible for planning and directing all underwriting procedures
Identifies growth opportunities and product development
Analyses specific products in the marketplace to ensure competitiveness of our products and the communication and understanding of our products differential benefits
Ensures execution of product strategy to meet Financial Lines and customer needs to drive profitability
In collaboration with senior management and underwriting counsel, provides input and develops guidelines regarding FL s Underwriting intent.
Conduct training Staff on Financial Lines product and market place issues.
Promote interaction with Actuarial, Legal and Claims functions.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Ten plus years of experience managing a team and managing a Financial Lines book of business
Detail oriented; Attention to quality/accuracy
Ability to multi-task and prioritize workflows efficiently
Ability to lead a team in a group environment
Proven track record of success with Midwest insurance marketplace
Professional demeanor in verbal and written communications internally and externally
Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, Pivot-link, and similar applications
