About the Position: This position is located in the Armament Software and Engineering Center, WSEC. The Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC) is the Army's Center of Lethality, and provides more than 90 percent of the Army's lethality to soldiers. ARDECs mission includes: improving already fielded items, developing new items, maintaining a strong armament technology base in government, industry and academia and providing technical support to Soldiers in the field.

Supervise an interdisciplinary professional staff engaged in acquisition life cycle engineering of battlefield systems software and software intensive systems, including employee performance Criteria and rating Techniques within the organization.
Develop and implement technical and programmatic strategies.
Coordinate preparation of program documentation including plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts, and technical reports, to persuade or defend complex position to DOD/DA management, Congressional committees, and industrial and academia officials.
Identify, develops and maintains the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to preserve, reinvigorate and/or redirect the organization's in-house core competencies related battlefield systems software and software intensive systems.
Applies Lean Six Sigma and Capability Maturity Model ? Integrated (CMMI) control processes, as appropriate.
